LATITUDE
The magnificent portraits in this book are both dignified and warm. They are the product of Roger Hooper’s painstaking efforts and dedication to wildlife and demonstrate his superb knowledge of animal behaviour, careful planning and meticulous photographic technique. This series of portraits allows us to experience some of the most stunning moments of Roger’s travels across the globe, such as jaguars play-fighting in the Amazon, a family group of elephants in the Masai Mara, to the Magellanic penguins in the Antarctic. As we enjoy these images, perhaps with our own families, we cannot fail to delight in their beauty and yet be reminded of our fragile eco-system.
Jonathan Drori CBE, Author and Environmentalist

FOCUS ON THE WILD
Focus on the wild is a meditative celebration of all that is positive about wildlife and wildlife photography, and a book that you can return to again and again, gathering knowledge upon each visit. It will, I'm sure, inspire generations to come to answer the conservation call that, lets furvently hope, will insure these essential creatures of our global eco-system are brought back from the brink. Steve Watkins, Editor: Outdoor photography magazine.

ART IN THE WILD
‘If ever a book lived up to its title, Roger Hooper’s "Art in the wild" surely is it, with an inspiring collection of fine-art images of African and Asian wildlife. What makes Roger’s work stand out is the attention to detail. Every camera angle, exposure and subject position is perfect, and together they create an overall feeling of simplicity in his images. Yet that cleanness should not belie the technical proficiency in his work. Roger simply demonstrates that he knows what is essential in an image and how best to emphasise it.’
Jeff Meyer, Amateur Photographer Magazine

DOTTED PLAINS • SPOTTED GAME
‘Let us not beat about the bush. If it's big cats you want, framed in a peerless setting of rolling plains and riverine woodlands, there is nowhere better than the Masai Mara. With stunning photography and evocative prose, this book is a glorious celebration of what, for me, has always been Africa's most beautiful wildlife stronghold.’
